Early Reflections
"In the beginning during the brainstorming process to come up with project ideas, it was very tiring and frustrating as we were very much clueless on the requirements for a good project. However, along the way, all the lecturers were very helpful to guide us in moving forward with our project, especially our project supervisor, Dr Shahrin. All the challenges we faced so far has been very beneficial for me in terms of improving my leadership and project management skills."

"For my early reflection on this IDP class, it gives the students an interesting opportunity to gain and improve the skills on how to manage the project at the very early phase. Starting by exploring new innovations in benefiting users and the industries, through the process of consultation and pitching by the company’s CEO and lecturers in determining the appropriate project. Hence, it really help the students to understand the real process in constructing a new project."

"On the first week of class, I think everything was going too fast. As fast as we already formed a team of 5 on the first day of class. I was assigned with random students. Nevertheless, as the week goes by, I was lucky to have such a responsible leader and supportive team members to guide me along our project. In addition, the pitching session with Ir Aziz and the other lecturers opened my mind and changed how I used to think. There are so much more to take into consideration than just solving a single problem. Dr. Shahrin as our project supervisor is a very good mentor to us, as he help us to generate more ideas and possibilities that could effect our project."

"For the early weeks of IDP session, we started to generate idea and proposed solutions for the project. Every members played their roles to give ideas and we have come up with solution to develop an application that can help the visually impaired people to monitor their medication intake. We learnt many things such as refining our problems, target user and their requirements and also benchmarking to come up with a compelling solution. Along the session, we realized that time management is very crucial in order to work on our project. Every members allocated their time to have discussions and work on the tasks distributed to make sure the progress is running as we planned."

"In the early phase of IDP sessions, it feels very confused and clueless on what project that can be done. However, as time passed the teachers and company’s CEO shared with the students on how to refine the problems, target users and the appropriate solutions. Therefore, it helps the students to generate the ideas and understand the process of the innovation of a new project. Throughout the sessions, it realizes that it is important to do the work early and consult with the supervisors to come up with the best project."
